chocolate city

If anyone knows me, they are well aware of the fact that i have a love-hate, mostly hate relationship with Washington D.C. Well today, I experienced a taste of this city's rich history while skimming through a catalogue of photographer Addison Scurlock's iconic photos of the 1920s, 30s, and 40s. Thanks Mr. Scurlock for making the diamond district seem less lackluster, and for quelling (somewhat) my qualms about this stifling city.
